A mysterious buyer became the proud new owner of one of the most spectacular superyachts on the market just in time for the summer season. Come Together boasts all the tempting qualities you’d expect from a new-generation vessel, doused in a heavy dose of billionaire luxury toy appeal. It’s no wonder it was snatched in record time despite the prohibiting price tag.
Just two years ago, Come Together was festively introduced as one of the most luxurious, technically advanced creations by Amels, a top-tier name in the niche sector of high-end, oversized pleasure craft. It was special in many ways, which is why its debut was highly celebrated.

Come Together was the first in the new Amels 60 Limited Edition series, described by the brand as premium semi-custom yachts built on highly-advanced technical platforms. As the series’ name suggests, Come Together was a massive build of nearly 200 feet (60 meters) with an 830 GT. This translated to lavish accommodation for up to 12 guests, catered to by a large 13-person crew.

Hybrid propulsion was one of the key features; together with the ultra-efficient hull, it enabled this mammoth vessel to cruise smoothly at more than 15 knots (17 mph) with considerably less noise and vibration. Plus, it was an important asset for fuel efficiency, resulting in an impressive range of 4,500 nautical miles (8,334 km) at 13 knots (14.9 mph).

The Limited Edition superyacht also dazzled with its stunning looks, owed to some of the biggest names in the industry; the famous Espen Oeino gave Come Together its geometric, futuristic silhouette, highlighted by the metallic color scheme. On board, the reputable Winch Design studio in London brought to life one of the most luxurious interiors today, based on a contemporary interpretation of indoor/outdoor flow and precious materials Jerusalem limestone, walnut, and bronze.

This semi-custom superyacht was allegedly built for a Russian billionaire linked to the oil industry. The unusual name is what gave it away: Alexander Dzhaparidze apparently named all of his luxury pleasure craft after Beatle songs (every billionaire has his quirks). Still, the 2022 Amels reportedly ended up in the hands of another billionaire, the American tech entrepreneur Mark Pincus.

The new owner is still unknown, but he is most likely another billionaire who was willing to part with $65 million (€59.9 million) to grab this yacht off the market. Come Together spent less than three months waiting for a new owner, which is a record time for a superyacht in this price range. This also marks one of the biggest used superyacht sales in the first half of 2024, although Come Together was practically new.

Even under new hands, the Limited Edition Amels will continue its career as a luxury charter yacht. One week on board costs at least $500,000, and the indulgent amenities available include a huge sun deck with a helipad, a jacuzzi, an open-air cinema, and dining for 18, a stunning master suite with a seven-square meter (75-square foot) terrace, and a sophisticated beach club with a sauna, an ice bath, and a gym.
