The 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo opened its doors today, revealing a myriad of concept cars. But while concepts show in Detroit of Frankfurt are usually sportscars, the ones revealed in India are mainly small crossover SUV. This one is called the Nexon and it's designed by Tata Motors, the guys who own Land Rover.
Designed as a compact SUV for the sub-4-meter class, the Nexon is designed with flare for the younger generation. It could preview a future production car to battle the Ford EcoSport and upcoming Mahindra S101.
With a sloping roofline, large lights in the lower bumper and tapered headlights, the Nexon looks a lot like the Nissan Juke. The reason for this design is a design collaboration between Tata’s design teams in Turin, UK and India.
If you though the exterior was cool, opening the suicide doors of the car will reveal something even more amazing. The starter button is a large glowing crystal, while the whole interior is illuminated by lines of teal and blue. It's like the Starship Enterprise in there!
