The Canadian transport safety agency has issued a recall for several Suzuki GSX1300R bikes. More commonly known as Hayabusa, 59 such vehicles may have problems with their Anti-Lock Brake System or ABS.
According to Healthy Canadians, 59 Hayabusa are recalled to date. The ABS modulator may have been manufactured incorrectly and could fail and cause the loss of ABS function on the specified motorcycles.
This could, in turn lead to the front and/or rear wheels to lock under strong braking and in conjunction with other factors, such as traffic or road conditions and rider reactions, increasing the risk of a crash resulting in personal injury and/or property damage.
Suzuki will notify owners of the affected 2013 model year Hayabusas affected and will install a new modulator. If you're riding a 2013 Hayabusa, you should have your ABS checked for your own safety.
