Aimed at encouraging future riders to get on the saddle, or to increase sales on the respective model, a massive price reduction was announced today by Suzuki on its sporty entry-level GZ250 model. Either way, this new price lowers the MSRP from $3,999 to an affordable $2,999.
“The new low price of the fun and sporty GZ250 makes motorcycling more affordable than ever and offers prospective new riders the perfect opportunity to get into motorcycling with a strong, reliable, fun Suzuki,” the manufacturer says in a statement.
Built cruising or commuting, the GZ250 features a dynamic, fuel-efficient 249cc single-cylinder, twin-valve, four-stroke engine with a single-overhead-cam (SOHC), providing the GZ250 with good acceleration and a wide power-band.
According to Suzuki, “this makes the GZ250 a strong performer under a variety of riding conditions, and the simplicity of its single-cylinder engine makes it a reliable, easy-to-maintain entry-level machine.”
Other highlights of the model include bright chrome finish on cylinder head covers, horn housing, tank emblems, and rear fender suspension struts. The bike also sports a large 3.4 gallon (13 litres) fuel tank, a rear fender, and a comfortable 2-piece seat with low 27.8 inch seat height. It has an electric starter and digital transistorized ignition system powered by a maintenance-free battery.
The GZ250 joins other competitively-priced Suzuki motorcycles such as the classic-styled TU250X and sportbike GS500F models.
A range of Genuine Suzuki Accessories are also offered to complement the GZ250’s classic cruiser style, including lightbar turn signal visors, saddlebags, or a classic chrome windscreen.
