Wow! We really have had enough of hearing about stupid and potentially deadly problems with gearboxes around the world. From DSG gearboxes that judder to Toyota and its sudden acceleration problems.
We're wondering if this incident which appears to have taken place in China is some sort of unintended reverse acceleration, or it's just really bad driving. The sedan in the video is clearly some sort of Nissan, probably an older model Maxima, and there were some cases in which auto gearboxes could be knocked into reverse without pressing the brake pedal.
Is this what we're looking at, or is what follows after the accident really a sign of a bad driver. I supposed that a normal driver who didn't make any mistake and simply had a misbehaving machine wouldn't run away like that. But then again, there's something obviously wrong
