The Subaru Viziv Concept has finally arrived for its debut in Geneva, with the Japanese automaker releasing the first official photo and details of the car.
Subaru's newest "Vision for Innovation" designed crossover SUV comes with a diesel-hybrid powertrain proposal that combines a 2.0-liter boxer diesel engine, a high-torque-compatible CVT for both drive and power generation, and two independent rear motors which provide vehicle drive only.
The new All-Wheel-Drive System seems to be a revolutionary component pointing at Subaru's future generation technology as well, with the independent-rear-motor-driven symmetrical AWD providing "fine-tuned control of the four wheels to match the travel environment" for better stability.
Getting back to the company's new design language, one of the Viziv's most important goals as a Concept, Subaru opted for simple and clean lines for an "ideal balance between a solid-looking body and a condensed cabin", while still featuring a few common motifs.
The interior is supposed to combine functionality and sportiness and provide seating for four people, with the driving assist EyeSight system as one of the concept's main features.
