Revealed earlier this month at the Fuji Speedway, the Subaru BRZ tS has been launched on the Japanese market, the Tokyo-headquartered automaker announced today.
Available in only 500 examples, the sportscar will be offered in two versions - standard and a GT Package model (250 units each). Besides the usual BRZ features, the standard tS has gained silver 18-inch STI wheels, Brembo brakes, new front spoiler, STI rear suspension with new coil springs and dampers, aluminum side sills, and restyled front seats.
In addition, the GT Package offers black 18-inch BBS wheels, adjustable dry carbon rear spoiler, and a Recaro front bucket seat. Unfortunately, Subaru decided not to add more power to the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, so expect the same amount of 200 HP found in the regular BRZ.
Subaru is accepting preorders for the BRZ tS until March 9, 2014.
