Recently, we told you that MINI was working on the second generation JCW GP hatchback, showing you the latest spyshots as proof. This will only again be a stripped out version of the hatchback with no back seats and a stiffer, race-tuned chassis.
Buy why throw out two perfectly already-useless seats when you got a car that already has only the front ones. MINI realized this, and is throwing the GP kit and caboodle at the JCW Coupe.
Our teams of photographers have caught up with this car, which obviously has the same four-spoke alloys and awesome diffuser tail as the GP II hatch.
This should make the Coupe JCW GP the fastest car in their lineup, since it’s already the lightest. You can also expect to see more power being squeezed out of the 1.6-liter four-cylinder. Production should be limited to just 2,000 really expensive examples.
