The prototype version of what will become the CLA 45 AMG sport sedan has once again been spotted out and about. This car is the perfect demonstration of Mercedes’ new commitment to 4Matic all-wheel drive.
We’ve heard that the W205 C-Class will also offer 4Matic wherever possible, and this has even been seen on the sumptuous CLS.
Getting back to the CLA, this AMG version will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine generating 335 horsepower and “more than 400 Nm”. That sound very impressive, and so is the rest of the drivetrain, made up of a DCT transmission and Haldex all-wheel drive system.
The CLA going to enter production next year, but this AMG version is only an early prototype right now and should follow in 2014.
