This interesting looking vehicle is supposedly an MPV/Crossover hybrid that’s based on the new Kia cee’d platform. This is Kia’s version, but Hyundai has one as well, a production version of the 2008 HED-5 i-Mode Concept. As a Kia it will carry the Rondo name and will be offered in two different seating configurations.
There will be a five-seater for normal families and a seven-seater with flexible arrangement. Its design will be focused on the practical side of things by the looks of this prototype spotted in Norther Sweden. But the Hyundai version will reportedly have aggressive styling, with a larger grille and plenty of character lines.
Since the platform for this vehicle is shared with the new i30/cee’d, the engine range will also be similar. The full reveal and market launch should take place in 2013, when the two Korean cars will have to take on the Ford C-MAX and VW Touran.
