BMW is busy testing a heavily camouflaged i3, in southern Europe - could be called ‘hot weather testing’ as the continent has been hit by a massive heat wave.
We are honestly very eagerly awaiting its official unveiling, as aside from the general body shape which we have gotten to know after a few sets of spyshots, it seems that the i3 will get some interesting design touches, like the ‘floating roof’ design, with the ‘invisible’ C-pilar (like that of the Opel / Vauxhall Adam) and definitely a few others which we still can’t make out under all that blue psychedelic foil.
Also, despite the rather bulky-looking shape, we expect the i3 to be very aerodynamic and use its electric (or range extended) power well. Factoring in the very thin low rolling resistance tires and special rims, we expect the i3 to be a very efficient vehicle overall.
