So you got yourself a Cabrio, fun summer days are ahead, right? Right! Especially with a MINI. However, the manufacturer has to make sure that the car is also usable during harsh winters and, therefore, it has to test it in the harshest environments.
The 2015 MINI Cooper S was spotted testing somewhere in the Scandinavian peninsula, during one of the harshest winters of all times and our photographers were there to spot it.
As before, the new model will keep using a soft-top, looking to save weight and keep the go-kart feeling at home. The S model has a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine for the first time, making 192 HP and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque.
You’ll get two brand new transmission options too, both with 6 gears, the manual being derived from the one developed for the new M3. With it, the hardtop model goes from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.8 seconds. Expect the convertible cooper to be launched at Geneva.
