This is the new baby sedan from Mercedes Benz is almost here, and it’s going to be built in Hungary on the same platform that underpins the A-Class and B-Class. It’s front-wheel drive or AWD optionally. The model will be called the CLA-Class, though it has been rumored as the BLS or CLC.
Though this prototype is still heavily camouflaged, a Daimler designer responsible for the car said it will be 95 percent cosmetically identical to the Concept Style Coupe shown at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show.
The engine range will be borrowed from the A-Class and will culminate with a 300+ horsepower version featuring AWD, an automatic double-clutch box and a 2.0-liter turbo engine. This is likely to be called either the CLA 25 AMG or the CLA 45 AMG.
