Chevrolet will introduce the new Aveo sometime this year, probably in the last months of 2010, or maybe early 2011 but only a little is actually known about the car. Well, what we have here is a new set of spyshots supposed to set things straight and reveal some new details regarding the future Aveo, including some info of the interior.
Without taking into account the guy giving the finger - probably disturbed by the spy photographers, the camouflage covers both the front and the rear fascias, the two sides that are expected to bring the biggest changes as compared to the current version.
The Aveo is expected to boast an interior similar to the one seen on the Aveo RS concept displayed at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit last month.
However, the Bluetooth controls have apparently been removed and replaced with a typical CD/Radio sound system. Still, the car comes with the same multi-function steering wheel, instrument cluster housing, position of the HVAC vents and controls as the Detroit concept.
Details on the engines are not available at this time, but the Aveo RS was powered by a 1.4-liter I-4 Ecotec turbocharged engine that developed 138 horsepower. It was mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Back in January when General Motors officially presented the Aveo RS, the company confirmed that production of the Aveo will begin in 2011, with all operations to be handled by the Orion Assembly in Orion Township, Mich.
