Unveiled at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show as a concept car, the BMW X4 has made brief appearances as a production prototype the past few months. Now, more than one month since it was spotted roaming the streets, the upcoming Sports Activity Coupe was introduced to the famed Nurburgring track.
As usual, our spy photographers were in the right place at the right time, and their pictures reveal that BMW decided to take on the course with the turbocharged 2.0-liter version, according to our BMW Blog expert.
Word has it the production version of the BMW X4 could be launched early next year. Based on the X3, the new X4 will share all of its engines and mechanical components and will be assembled in Spartanburg.
More info on the production version of the X4 is expected to be revealed towards the end of the year.
