Advanced Design Tramontana is a Spanish supercar maker which manufactures extreme-looking F1-inspired machines with awesome performance. They are based in the small Catalonian town of Girona, and they have announced the opening of their first showroom, in the country’s second largest city, Barcelona, next week on June 27th.
If you are interested in buying a Tramontana R, be prepared to part with around €500,000 ($624,750), as well as wait a while, as only 12 cars are hand-built each year. The opening of this new dealership may bring an influx of buyers to the brand, and if they don’t increase production capacity, there could be waiting lists stretching years into the future, for what is a very unique automobile, like that Tauro V8 we showed you last week (also a Spanish supercar, albeit a more traditional one).
The company started off in 2007, and they are relatively well-known for making what is, genuinely, a racing car for the road. The ‘R’ version of their extreme F1-inspired supercar is powered by a turbocharged Mercedes-Benz 5.5-liter V12 which puts out 710 hp (550 hp in the ‘non-R’ version). Such a colossal power output propels the lightweight supercar from 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in around 3.5 seconds, before topping out at 325 km/h (202 mph).
