Several Dutch companies have collaborated in the creation of this, rather unique ice cream cart. As you may have noticed from the roof, this is no ordinary ice cream cart, but one powered solely by the sun.
It uses photovoltaic cells on the roof to charge a battery located further down in the ‘body’, and adjusts the distribution of power as efficiently as possible.
It is also practical, as the roof rises on four telescopic legs which can easily be folded, making it very easy to transport. Also, in case it does run out of juice, it can always be plugged in until the sun starts shining again!

This means that it can be charged during the day (just by being left in the sun), and then using the stored power throughout the day. We say this is genuinely practical, because very few people enjoy having ice cream on cold days when the sun doesn’t shine, so whenever the sun is up and people are looking for ice cream, this cart (or one like it) seems like a great idea.
