Being a fan of affordable performance and Skodas does come with its perks these days, as I think the Octavia vRS is a wonderful blend of go-fast bits and true family value. We're talking a cavernous boot big enough for any dog and 220 PS from a 2.0-liter TSI engine.
But is that enough? I think now, especially considering the "same" 2.0-liter TSI gets upgraded to 265/280 PS in the SEAT Leon Cupra and 300 PS if you go for the Audi S3/Golf 7 R. Wouldn't it be great if there was a car worthy of that sort of performance?
Hmmmm… I know, how about a Skoda Superb vRS? That car is already a flagship of sorts, but beyond the heavy V6 version, it doesn't pack umph. What we need is an all-wheel drive, turbocharged luxury family car to finally settle the score and cement Skoda's reputation.
Just in case you can't picture what that car would look like, here's a rendering to give you a firm idea, courtesy of Theophilus Chin.
