Revealed during the 2016 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Superb SportLine is being made available to UK car buyers wanting dynamic styling on top of their big sedans and wagons.
It's offered in almost all the engine configurations except the appalling ones and even has a unique color, Dragon Green, that's exclusive to the SportLine. That should be ideal for starting up a conversation with that sexy girl from accounting that wears short skirts: "Hey Barbara, want to see my Dragon Green paint?"
Skoda is never going to make an RS version of the Superb, so this is as good as it gets. The SportLine package isn't that bold, but it does have some nice black accents.
Changes include things like 19-inch Anthracite Vega alloy wheels, sports design bumpers, tinted glass, and black gloss trim treatment on the grille, wing mirrors, window surrounds and rear spoiler in the case of the notchback sedan. With the estate, that changes to gloss black roof rails.
There are also a few things we don't like, such as the fake trim on the bottom of the rear bumper that tricks you into thinking that's where the exhaust comes out. But it's not just fake stuff, as the standard equipment list includes 15mm lower suspension and the XDS electronic differential lock ensuring sharper handling.
Available in Moon White Metallic, Quartz Grey Metallic, Business Grey Metallic, Brilliant Silver Metallic, Black Magic pearl effect and Corrida Red, the SportLine also introduces Dragon Green Metallic as an exclusive option. The interior is probably the nicest part is the car. Just look at that awesome leather seat!
Most engines are geared towards economy, but there are a few notable exceptions. For example, you can have the 2.0 TSI from the Golf GTI with either 220 PS or 280 PS and 4x4. The best diesel is the one from the Octavia RS and can be ordered with AWD too. For all the pricing details, check out the press release below.
