The makers of the GTX-R have done it again, this time creating a mid-engined lightweight Italian GT. The car in question is called the "K1 Attack" and looks like a Lotus Evora with Lambo Doors.
Just because a company does not have a long standing history and a name that comes from some kind of wild animal, you can’t say it can’t produce a masterpiece. Italian startup manufacturer Simbol Design wanted to prove this very fact, when they made the K1.
The model adopts and incorporates a lot of features from other supercar makers. For instance the short wheelbase and the double exhaust tips are similar to those on the Lotus Evora, while the front end has the same bottom-feeder fish face and hood grille as the Spyker C8 Aileron. For added shock-value, the K1 is also fitted with Lambo doors that open up instead of sideways.
Power comes from an Alfa Romeo 3.2-liter V6, developing 246 hp. This is good for a top speed of 265 km/h (164 mph) and a 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) sprint of 4.9 seconds. The engine is mounted transversely and mated to a manual five speed gearbox that most likely comes from Alfa.
A chassis made from tubular steel and light bodywork makes this a featherweight car at just 878 kg (1935 lbs). The car has a detachable hardtop, so customers will enjoy a bit of open air. We don’t agree with the look of the interior, it looks cheesy and the seats look really uncomfortable. The car is for sale but no price was give yet.
