The SUV is one of the fastest evolving species of the automotive world. The latest mutation suffered by this type of vehicles has seen them evolving in terms of performance.
This means that certain automotive producers have decided to gift their SUVs with power levels that were previously only available for proper performance vehicles.
Observing this trend, tuning companies have also decided to offer a wider variety of kits that target this breed. One of the members of the SUV segment that has managed to claim a top spot in the tuners’ portfolio is the Mercedes-Benz ML.
The aftermarket world has just given birth to a new modification package for the German vehicle. Senner Tuning has decided to play with the most powerful “civil” (non-AMG that is) version of the German vehicle, the ML500.
The SUV is powered by a 5,461 cc petrol V8 unit that delivers 388 hp and a peak torque of 529 Nm when it leaves the factory. The tuner plays with the engine and allows it to deliver 412 hp and a maximum torque of 560 Nm.
Even though the vehicle only comes with a relatively modest power increase, the tuner has decided to make sure that it can handle this. This means that the SUV has been fitted with adjustable sway bar links and a new control module for the air suspension.
The tuned creation has also received a set of AMG-inspired wheel arches, wheel spacers for both axles, as well as a performance exhaust system. The car uses 22 inch Corniche Monza alloy rims wrapped in Vredestein 'Wintrac Xtreme' tires (295/30 R22) to connect to the road.
