SEAT Exeo, which is mostly characterized by luxury and high quality features, will arrive in authorized dealerships next spring at prices between £17,740 and £21,340. The car will be offered in several trim levels, including S, SE, Sport and SE Lux, all of them equipped with Euro V engines and six-speed manual gearbox. In terms of engines, there are three configurations available, namely two diesels, producing 143 and 170 PS respectively, plus a high-performance 200 PS turborcharged petrol unit.
According to figures given by SEAT, the aforementioned engines help the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds (for the 143 PS TDI), 8.4 seconds (for the 170 PS TDI) and 7.3 seconds (200 PS TSI petrol). They provide maximum speeds of 133 mph, 142 mph and 149 mph, respectively.
Obviously, the new car is especially focused on fuel economy so, depending on engine, Exeo has an average fuel consumption of 51.4 mpg combined with a CO2 emission of 143 g/km.
As mentioned, Exeo comes with a high-level of standard equipment, including front fog lamps, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors and electric windows. The SE flavor comes with rear parking sensors, automatic lights and wipers, leather steering wheel and gearknob, acoustic windscreen and an auto-dimming rear view mirror.
Speaking of safety, the car incorporates six airbags, plus ESP and EBA as standard. In addition, all models have active front head restraints, rear-seat ISOFIX points with Top Tether, volumetric alarm and remote central locking.
“The arrival of the new Exeo saloon in showrooms is sure to be one of the highlights of the year for SEAT. I've experienced at first hand the quality, luxury and sporting performance of this new saloon and I'm convinced that private and business buyers alike will be quick to spot the fabulous value offered by our newcomer,” head of SEAT UK, Peter Wyhinny, said about the upcoming model.
