Scion Announces Music(Less) Music Conference

The future of music industry is to be discussed at an upcoming conference planned by Japanese manufacturer Toyota's brand Scion. The Music(Less) Music Conference, which will be held on June 17-18 at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel, aims to bring together artists from various music genres that will drive debates, panels and workshops on the subject.

According to Scion, invited speakers will discuss artist development, independent labels, touring and digital distribution, while panel moderators such as Billboard's David Prince and reporter Eric Ducker will lead discussions on the future of the industry.

The conference will also be available as a digital resource by accessing this link.

"Scion's goal is to continually support influential and emerging artists with the opportunities and resources that otherwise might be unavailable," Jeri Yoshizu, Scion sales promotions manager, said in a release.

Some of the themes to be discussed at the conference include the following:

  • Integrity and Selling out in 2010

  • Why is Now a Good Time to Get Involved in the Music Industry?
  • Do You Need a Manager?
