The last Lexus LFA model built for the European market has been delivered, the Japanese company has announced today.
Nicolas Schilling, the lucky customer regarded by Lexus as "a long-time friend of Japan", took possession of a Whitest White-painted LFA with chassis No. 493, which is the 40th and last Motomachi-built sportscar to be delivered in Europe.
"I was first impressed by the LFA’s design, but it was when I heard the sound of the engine of this breath-taking machine that I knew it was my dream car”, Schilling said. "To me, the LFA stands for far-reaching innovative technology, absolute passion and determination, all dressed-up in pure elegance. It’s a world-class vehicle."
40 Lexus LFA models have been sold in Europe since production started, including 4 with the Nurburgring performance package. 15 landed in Germany, 6 in Switzerland, 5 were acquired by UK customers, 4 arrived in the Netherlands, while 3 were delivered in France. In total, 500 LFAs were built and sold worldwide.
As a side note, the last Lexus LFA left the Motomachi assembly line back in December 14, 2012.
