Our friend DrGumoLunatic just sent us a few really fresh spy videos from his little corner of the world, a place you might know as Stuttgart. A test prototype for the S-Class Coupe was spotted in the district of Boblingen, near the place where both Porsche and Mercedes make the magic happen.
The prototype has the same sort of camo we saw on the one spotted in Spain last week, which was the powerful S63 AMG Coupe. But this time the sides of the bumper look less flared, the wheels are smaller and the exhaust doesn't look like its integrated into the exhaust. This is just the regular S-Class without even the AMG body.
The car will debut next year and should feature a similar set of engines as the regular S-Class. This replacement for the CL-Class looks like a sexy motor in the making and is sure to take plenty of 6 Series buyers from BMW. Speaking of the 6er, we think (or rather we hope) that it will mirror that car's engine range, with the S400 Coupe, powered by a 333 PS 3-liter V6, rivaling the 640i and a big 4.7-liter offered in the S500 Coupe to rival the 650i.
Editor's note: Hello Santa, I know you're busy and all with all the other petrol-heads of the world, but I'd like to tell you all about the gift I want next year. It's big, heavy a costs a fortune, so I'd appreciate it if you could drive it to me rather than scratch it on the sled.
