Ryan Sheckler's New "Toy": Ferrari F430

It seems like the 19 year old professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler is into everything on four wheels that goes fast. After a Ranger Rover HSE sport utility vehicle and a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7-liter diesel truck, this kid has already passed on to a "toy" that would better fit a professional driver. His new Ferrari F430 is on the streets causing drooling among teenage girls and fans of the young athlete.

At only 13, Ryan Sheckler turned pro by winning the gold medal at the 2003 X Games. And that was only the beginning. The following two years he won the World Cup of Skateboarding National Street Champion and the 2005 Dew Action Sports Tour Athlete of the Year.

One year ago, Ryan was modest regarding his plans in future changes brought to his garage. “The Bentley Continental GT and Ferrari F430 are the only cars I have my eyes on, but I have a lot of work to do to get those.”, he said. “I’ll be 21 before I can probably get them,” Ryan added.

And yet, this kid moves fast not only during competitions, but also when it comes to be in top of young famous people driving performance vehicles. If you ask us, he should have waited to turn 21 before handling the steering wheel of an over 500 HP "toy".

After all, this isn't exactly what we had in mind reading one of his previous statements. “I feel like my parents have taught me to be properly grounded,”  said the kid who spends most of his time with his family and neighborhood friends doing “normal teenage stuff.”

But who are we to judge? "Normal" is a relative term and maybe we are left behind with teenage evolution. Can't say we hardly wait for the moment when a 10 year old buys his own private jet... being also the pilot.
