Popular belief, fueled by stories we are told when we were kids and by movies in our adulthood, is that ghosts are usually misty white and kind of diaphanous. Which is quite the opposite of what one sees when looking at this imposing Rolls-Royce Ghost.
The Ghost, as pretty much all other cars Rolls has ever made, is not exactly a favorite base for custom crews around the world. That's because the car is expensive enough to be available only to a select few who are not exactly aftermarket custom fans: all they need and want can be included on their cars right off the factory floor.

Yet there are some crews out there who have specialized in modifying luxury cars their own way, using aftermarket parts and ideas. It's not exactly clear how successful such businesses are, but judging by how often we see such conversions, they are probably quite so.

The latest Rolls to come our way in a modified form is this Ghost, the work of a British garage going by the name Urban Automotive. It's a car some of you might be familiar with, as it was displayed at last year's SEMA show.

The Ghost these guys gave birth to is just a visual reinterpretation of the British luxobarge, with a clear accent on the use of carbon fiber. Everything else about the vehicle, from the chassis to the engine, remains stock. Sure, the exhaust system has been enhanced with the fitting of billet aluminum finishers, and a fully customizable Milltek exhaust system is on the table as an option, but that's about it in this respect.

Urban decided to give the Ghost a different face and posterior (they call it design enhancement) by installing new bumpers on each end, both of them made, naturally, in carbon fiber.

The front piece comes with visual carbon fiber splitters and a two-piece trim overlay., while the one at the rear was gifted with an integrated diffuser.

There are roughly 40 aftermarket bits and pieces that have been installed on the Ghost, from the lower door sills to the rear lip spoiler. The most visible modifications remain however the gangsta-looking Vossen wheels, which will be available for such conversions in two sizes, 22 and 24 inches.

I say they will be available because Urban plans to sell this customization package starting this month. Pricing for it is not known.

The current version of the Rolls-Royce Ghost (the second generation) was introduced back in 2020 and it is powered by the iconic 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, rated from the factory at 563 hp and 850 Nm of torque.

Getting your hands on one in the U.S. will set you back at least $340,000, but that's only the beginning, as Rolls' own customization choices are extensive and expensive.
