Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II 'Angel Edition' Isn't Real, but It Probably Won't Take Long

The ultra-luxury world is in turmoil. Bugatti will reveal its V16-powered Chiron successor later this month, Bentley has an upcoming hybrid V8 in store for the all-new 771-horsepower Conti GT, and Rolls-Royce has a refreshed Cullinan in the making.
We could probably go on for a while after discussing how the next Bugatti hypercar will feature a hybrid V16 with no less than 1,800 to 2,000 combined horsepower or how Bentley's fresh hybrid V8 will have more power than its W12 mill. We could say that Aston Martin understands that people still want manual transmissions and big V12 engines in exotic rides, that Ferrari has already achieved V12 perfection with the new 12Cilindri, or that Lamborghini is preparing for the Huracan's successor with a hybrid V8 and no less than 887 horsepower.

But let's just stop at Rolls-Royce for yet another moment of contemplation. Yes, the Cullinan Series II looks quirky with its restyled front fascia, and in some Black Badge configurations, it even looks like a Star Wars Stormtrooper! However, this behemoth has always been the darling of the aftermarket realm as some folks still don't think the British automaker has the OEM chops to help them stand out in any crowd, even the wrong ones.

Indeed, Rolls has recently taken the bespoke personalization game to the stars and back – but they're still not ready to offer stuff like a slammed atmosphere via a lowered ride height or a full widebody aerodynamic kit. However, the Cullinan Series II is not yet on the market – so there's no way for the aftermarket world to start churning out independent projects.

No worries, if they need more ideas, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is ready and willing to lend a CGI helping hand. For example, Ildar, the virtual artist better known as ildar_project on social media, usually plays with tuned vehicles – so is anyone surprised that he already has a couple of Cullinan Series II-based design projects?

First, he took a teal-dressed virtual example, but now he's sharing a snippet of the 'Angel Edition.' As far as we can tell, it's a Satin Pearl White treatment contrasted by a big roster of forged carbon fiber elements plus glossy Black Badge elements. The Cullinan naturally gets muscled up with help from a widebody aerodynamic kit and also features massive aftermarket wheels. At this point, this unofficial design project is entirely hypothetical and merely wishful thinking.

However, given the extensive aftermarket love the Rolls-Royce Cullinan has seen so far, it's easy to predict the Series II will follow suit, and it's only a matter of time and taste before an aftermarket outlet imagines something very close to these renderings. So, do we like it or not?
