Needless to say, after Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes, Robert Downey Jr is one of the best paid actors right now. But even though he can afford a chauffeur, the 47-year-old actor chose to use his own right foot to shift the stunning Acura NSX Roadster concept through the debut of the Avengers movie, which took place at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
He and his wife were seen in a convoy of other Acuras, the official Marvel movie car brand, in what we can only describe as Tony Stark’s $9 million movie supercar.
This Acura Roadster is a fictional car right now, but some recent patent images have revealed it’s actually going into production.
In the Avengers movie, the Acura is supposed to be powered by a 80,000 TOHC 32-valve engine with titanium-forged block and nitrous fuel-injection system. This runs on palladium, the first element used by mr. Stark to run the core that kept him alive.
The vehicle is supposed to cost well over $9 million and comes with bullet- and foreign element-proof clear coat and metal skin, flares, a windscreen that does scans in the UV spectrum. and a palm-scan ID steering wheel. Oh, and it’s supposed to do 302 mpg highway.
Downey is rolling like a Stark!
