After partying in Les Deux last night, the "Umbrella" singer hopped in a black Cadillac Escalade with the desire to return home probably but shortly after 2:00 am, her driver was pulled over by the LAPD, TMZ has heard. The reasons for the stop are believed to be the tinted windows and the lack of front license plate on the Cadillac. Rihanna was sitting quitely in the back while cops fined her driver.
Certainly this incident is not as spectacular as the fight with Chris Brown but after reading the news, we couldn't stop thinking about two things. First of all, we want to congratulate Rihanna for being wise enough to take a driver and not drive under the influence. She is free to party as much as she wants as long as she doesn't get behind the wheel after that.
Secondly, it's becoming extremely weird that so many drivers in Hollywood are pulled over by cops for not having a front license plate. Is it a virus or what?
Yesterday, we reported about Norm Nixon, the former NBA player, who was stopped by cops for driving with no front license plate. That's how police found out that Nixon was also driving under the influence of alcohol.
Another case happened at the beginning of this month, when former footballer Brian Bosworth was pulled over by cops on Hollywood Boulevard for not having a license plate on his Harley Davidson. As they smelled alcohol in his breath, cops asked him to take a sobriety test which he failed and consequently, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
So, are all these cases a simple coincidence? Is this only pure negligence at stake or is someone stealing celebs' license plates?
