The helmet was a life safer for the rider in this video. Double that by the luck he had coming off his quad without being caught under the rolling metal, and add a steep rocky gradient for a spectacular crash.
Apparently both rider and machine made it back home safely, if a little battered. However, watching how terrible the crash was, leraning that the ATV only needed some "redneck repairs" is truly amazing.
It's hard to figure out the make and model of this quad, but no matter who built this machine deserves a lot of praise. Flipping so many times down the hill on bare rocks and still able to ride home is a job only the really tough ATVs are capable of. I'd say this is more of a win for the ATV than a fail for the rider...
