As we previously reported, Honda’s UK arm tweaked the Insight model, offering customers enhancements in the Noise, Harshness and Vibration (NVH) and trim level areas. The refined Insight is now available for sale, with a starting price of GBP16,325. However, the carmaker’s Affordable Driving offer brings the hybrid’s starting price down to GBP14,995 (the promotion is available until the end of the current year).
The Insight line-up has also welcomed a range-topping model, the EX, which brings a black leather upholstery, DVD satnav and hands-free telephone. This version can be yours for a starting price of GBP20,215.
The tweaked version of the vehicle comes with multiple chassis enhancements, including: adjusting the recoil rate of the springs, changing the rear camber angles, altering the V-shape rear suspension brace and adjusting mounts. The car promises to offer improved ride and handling.
In addition to that, the ES version and superior ones now come with rear parking sensor and updated interior trimming. The dashboard and seat colors have also been modified, with other interior changes including improved plastics, chrome rings for the air vents and a silver finish for the doors.
Honda also offers a wider range of exterior colors for the Insight, adding Dynamic Blue Pearl and Carnelian Red Pearl to the list of options.
“The changes made to the Insight were in direct response to the comments received from early customers and the media. The initial focus was on suspension, to which improvements have been made to address negative feedback on ride and comfort levels,” stated the press release.
