Honda America has released full details about the updated and cosmetically revised 2013 CR-Z hybrid, which will go on sale on November 21, 2012.
Thecar comes with a new Lithium-Ion battery pack, which helps it add power and reduce fuel consumption. Thanks to the extra juice delivered by the new battery, the electric motor now delivers 15 kW of power instead of 10 kW. This raises the combined output of the system by 8 hp to 130 hp, while torque figures are also slightly better.
At the same time the battery contributes to a 1 mpg improvement in city driving for the CVT-equipped coupes and 1 mpg for the manual version on the highway cycle.
Prices start at $19,974 plus $790 destination for the base model with a manual and go up to $23,805 for the CR-Z EX with Navigation.
