The fact that Renault’s Twizy lacks windows may have turned some potential buyers away from the car, as it would only really be practical and enjoyable on a warm and not-at-all wet day. However, an Italian company is set to change that, as they are now offering retrofittable windows for the Twizy.
These come in two variants, with the more expensive of the two consisting of two soft windows made out of transparent plastic. The soft plastic option can’t really be recommended, as they seem a lot more fiddly, as well as flimsy, and also the more expensive option, at €390 ($480).
The hard plastic version, the one we would definitely recommend, costs €30 less, at €360 ($440), and also feels like more of a factory-standard part, as they don’t look out of place at all on the car - Renault should offer these as an optional extra for the Twizy, as well as taking the price down in the process, because the aforementioned prices seem a bit steep for what is basically some clear plastic molded and cut into a shape.
