Renault Trucks announced it has entered the Guinness Book of Records. Not because of some outstanding accomplishment in the truck market, but for creating the world's largest work of three-dimensional street art.
About two weeks ago Renault Trucks and French artist Francois Abelanet displayed four gigantic three-dimensional street images on the Place Bellcourt in Lyon. One of them covered an area of 4,071 square meters (43,819 sq ft) and enabled Renault Trucks to enter the Guinness Book of Records with "the largest anamorphosis in the world".
"We are very proud to have presented this work of art to the many visitors who came to see it during the weekend. Renault Trucks is a company that was born in Lyon, is still active here and the people of Lyon should be proud of the manufacturing carried out in their city. We wanted the general public to have the opportunity of discovering this new range of vehicles and to learn about it in an original and unusual way," said Bruno Blin, president of Renault Trucks.
In other related news, Renault Trucks revealed its new range of vehicles in Lyon last month.
