Just recently, Audi debuted in Europe the RS 4 Avant edition 25 years and the RS 5 Sportback performance edition with just 500 examples offered across the Old Continent and the United Kingdom.
No worries, though, as more Audi Sport models are coming – and some of them will be a lot more accessible to the masses, at least in terms of production quotations, if not MSRPs. So, among regular stuff like the 2025 Audi A7 Avant or 2026 Audi Q7, there are also new goodies like the 2025 or 2026 Audi RS 5 Avant and RS Q8. If you're raising an eyebrow at the nomenclature, it's clear that you're not acquainted with Ingolstadt's propensity for convoluting simple things like powertrain or model names.

As of recently, they decided to drop the controversial engine denominations but will confuse people all over again when they introduce all-new generations of traditional models like the A4 labeled as A5. That is because they are now reserving the even numbers for e-tron variants, whereas the ICE-powered versions will carry uneven numerals.

However, that is happening progressively – for example, the new Q6 e-tron is the all-electric counterpart of the popular Q5 compact crossover SUV and won't affect current facelifts. As such, while the new A4 will morph into the A5, complete with sedan and station wagon versions, the big Audi Q8 remains a common ICE and EV affair for the time being.

Thus, it is why the rumor mill has gained access to spies of the 2025 or 2026 RS Q8 while enjoying some full-throttle stints at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and as it goes under the facelift doctor's knife, it still carries the traditional moniker instead of being renamed Q9. Anyway, given that its exotic cousin, the Lamborghini Urus, has already undergone the refreshment procedure, it's easy to imagine the RS Q8 might arrive with a little more oomph under the hood.

Also, the Audi SQ8 has already gone through the facelift for the 2024 model year, and we expect the same subtle treatment for the flagship version. However, it is one thing to try and imagine the changes and another to see them in a hypothetical scenario. It's all thanks to the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, and Nikita Chuicko, the virtual artist better known as kelsonik on social media, thinks that now is the right CGI time to make a digital Audi RS Q8 statement.

Thus, the pixel master has dropped his unofficial vision of the 2025 or 2026 Audi RS Q8 on massive (yet OEM) wheels sporting red touches and then emphasized the hypothetical changes with a ritzy color palette. So, which is your favorite – green, gray, orange, white, or something else?
