Just as the peeps over at General Motors prepare for another glorious Team Corvette moment when Chevrolet unveils the C8 ZR1 later this summer, Ford is also keen on having the 'Witness Me!' walk of fame across the automotive industry's spotlight.
The only difference is they seek to bring more than one model to the red carpet's catwalk. Sure, they will try to oppose the Corvette ZR1 twin-turbo mid-engine madness with the ultra-expensive ($325k) Ford Mustang GTD, which already looks glorious and sounds ferocious on the Nürburgring Nordschleife where it might post a historic lap record for American sports cars.
They also have a crazy Ford F-150 Lightning electric Pikes Peak race truck that makes no less than three tons of downforce to claim the 'most ridiculous' title in the best kind of racing way. But in the normal world, folks might be more interested in the fact that 2025 Ford Expedition prototypes have been caught sporting a totally undisguised face.
As per the rumor mill, the full-size SUV, which currently retails for the 2024 model year from a starting MSRP of $55,630, will follow in the footsteps of the smaller Explorer with a mid-cycle facelift procedure. However, unlike its smaller sibling, the full-size three-row SUV won't go soft on the front fascia and instead will opt for a significant makeover for the 2025MY that goes beyond a mere update.
The body-hugging camouflage is not even all that important because the mid-cycle refreshes usually don't touch the profile or anything other than the front and rear bumpers, grilles, and lighting clusters. As far as we can tell, the 2025 Ford Expedition will feature a cleaner look with the headlights and grille treatment inspired by the 2024 Ford F-150 pickup truck's upgrades.
We won't be surprised if – just like the corresponding F-150 lineup – the big SUV will get different front treatments for various trims like the base XL STX and XLT, then Limited, Timberline, and King Ranch plus Platinum. Anyway, as the rumor mill discusses the changes seen on the 2025 Ford Expedition prototypes, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is never too far behind.
As such, the Halo oto channel on YouTube provides fresh automotive info corroborated with their virtual designs; now, there are some new CGI ideas about this particular Ford facelift, with the resident pixel master staging the initial exterior preview. Obviously, the digital work closely follows the spied refresh and shows the 2025 Ford Expedition in a classic Blue Oval color.
