It looks like radial airplane "star" engines are becoming more and more popular among certain lovers of custom bikes. Far from being a new thing, seeing a bike powered by such an engine is always a striking experience.
This time it's the notorious German magazine Motorrad doing a feature on radial engines used for motorcycling purposes. Both the builder of this extreme beast and his bike, which is only natural called the Red Baron are German, and watching the machine ride away makes us wonder if is street-legal.
