Over the last month or so, we’ve seen an increasing number of premium vehicles receive velvet wraps in the UK. The examples include a Porsche Panamera, a Ferrari 599 GTB and a BMW M3. However, it seems that this overkill trend has crossed the Eurotunnel, as velvet-wrapped Range Rover Evoque was recently spotted in France.
While the cars in Britain were covered in Black Velvet, the French tried their hand at being a bit more stylish and used Dark Blue velvet. However, the roof of the car has been left to use its White finish.
This trend actually started before the velvet-wrapped cars started popping out in the UK, but now it seems that it’s really starting to catch on. We may need to wear eye protection soon.
