A Spanish publication has managed to snap a couple of very clear photos of the 2013 SEAT Ibiza Cupra with its new look completely undisguised. The design is basically identical to the concept that was shown in China earlier this year.
It’s also a bit of a disappointment for us as well, because they replaced the old black-mouthed look of the little Cupra with a design that’s basically the same as every other three-door Ibiza.
The rear is just as unsurprising: integrated diffuser with a center-mounted exhaust, but just as fake as the old one.
Powering the Ibiza Cupra will still be a 1.4-liter TSI developing 180 horsepower 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. This is offered as standard with a seven-speed DSG gearbox and VW’s electronic diff that brakes the inside wheel.
