If there ever was a car that will get you confused, this is it. It’s called the Lancia Flavia, and it’s actually a Chrysler 200 underneath, which is actually a Sebring. The Fiat Group luxury brand will be marketing it in most of Europe, with the exception of the UK market, and the full production version of the Flavia Cabrio will arrive in Geneva.
According to the official release, the Flavia will be available for order “from March in the main European markets and produced at the Sterling Heights plant in Michigan (USA).” But don’t run to your local dealer yet, because they are likely referring to the Italian market, with actual deliveries likely to come this summer.
The model that the automaker will show in Frankfurt will be equipped with a 2.4-liter normally aspirated straight-four with 175 horsepower and a six-speed automatic gearbox. Right now, there are no other drivetrain options for the Flavia, which might be a problem.
