German automaker BMW has confirmed it will introduce the production version of the i8 plug-in hybrid sports coupe at the Frankfurt Auto Show next month.
Besides the i8 Coupe, BMW will also showcase the newly-unveiled i3 all-electric car, the 4 Series Coupe, the 2014 X5 SAV and the Concept Active Tourer Outdoor, all of which will mark their public debuts.
Luxury manufacturer and BMW subsidiary Rolls-Royce will arrive at the Frankfurt Auto Show with a range of customized vehicles, including the Celestial Phantom and a bespoke Wraith Coupe, both of which we’re very anxious to stare at.
On the other hand, MINI decided to reveal the 2014 Cooper at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. However, they will attend the event in order to showcase the “MINI - Not Normal” campaign that “conveys the brand’s individual, high-energy attitude to life”.
“The IAA is one of the most important motor shows worldwide, where we present our latest products on an emotional level. The dynamic presentation of our vehicles on the track is unique and clearly underlines BMW´s brand promise “Sheer driving pleasure”. At this year’s IAA there will be a focus on the topic of electric mobility and the pure electric BMW i3 experience of our visitors. We are looking forward to creating enthusiasm for the BMW i3 and other BMW Group products,” said Steven Althaus, head of brand management at BMW.
