President Obama Travels the U.S. in His $1.1 Million Greyhound One

When it comes to travel in style, no one does it better than the President of the United States. We are all aware about the Air Force One’s sci-fi capabilities, regarding security being fitted with hardened onboard electronics in order to protect against electromagnetic pulse.

Also, the President carrier has unlimited range due to its capability of refueling in mid air. When it comes to travel on the ground the customized Boeing 747-200B is useless. This is where another beast steps in. We could say this is another proof of American engineering but sadly this is not the case. Surprisingly President Obama, the ambassador of American jobs and lower tax programs is touring across the nation in a $1.1-million one of a kind bus manufactured in Canada.

The $1.1 million vehicle is one of two that Quebec-based Prevost had manufactured for the US government. It is a VIP H3-45 model and just like its American air born step brother, the one of a kind bus has been tricked out by the Secret Service with the latest security features and comfort features.

"That's the more luxurious model. When we have the Country Music Awards, we sometimes see a lot of them,
" Christine Garant of Prevost was quoted as saying by New York Post. The “Greyhound One” as it is called, was fitted armored doors, teleconferencing equipment, flat screen televisions, big comfortable couches. Greyhound One is also equipped with Barak Obama’s nuclear launch codes in his nuclear “footbal”…just in case.

“There are certain security and communications equipment that we’ll have in there. It’s just a better situation for us rather than leasing something and then putting in temporary equipment,”
Ed Donovan, a Secret Service spokesman was cited by the aforementioned source.
