When the 911 line-up consists of around 20 models even before the mid-cycle revamp that brings new versions, you know Porsche is the company to talk to when looking for... editions. Zuffenhausen has always been a master of both special and non-special editions and it seems that the Germans are looking to intensify their work on the first after their recent Panamera Exclusive exceeded their expectations.
Yes, we are talking about That Panamera Exclusive that costs a quarter of a million Euro (about $312,000). It looks like the melange of luxury and exclusivity won the battle with the heavy price - Porsche offered 100 units, which were sold out after just 48 hours, as Autocar writes.
The starting point was the most extravagant Panamera in the line-up, namely the Turbo S Executive. While the first part of the designations spells 570 hp, the later means an extra 15 cm (5.9 inches) of wheelbase.
This was gifted with each and every optional extras in Porsche’s infinite book, while also featuring multiple details handled by the automaker’s Exclusive division. For instance, the paint was applied by hand, while the cabin was gifted with lavish features such as Poltona Frau leather.
“I wish we’d offered more cars for sale; the response has been incredible,” Porsche head of research and development, Wolfgang Hatz, said. “But we have tested the appetite for such a car, and we have tested some suppliers to ensure they can deliver. We have learned from the project, and I’m sure we will do more in future.”
Like we said, Porsche has always been good at milking the cash cow while keeping the customers and fans happy and it seems like the Germans have found yet another manner to expand this.

It's all in the details
Configuring a Panamera “by hand” to such a sky-high level would probably bring the price even higher than the aforementioned one, so, in this respect, the purchase could be seen as a good deal. Then again, as exclusive as it was, we are still dealing with a Panamera that’s priced only slightly below a well-gifted Bentley Flying Spur V8.Like we said, Porsche has always been good at milking the cash cow while keeping the customers and fans happy and it seems like the Germans have found yet another manner to expand this.
