While some tuning company only stick to developing new products, others take the time to stop an smell the r...ubbers. Let’s take D2Forged, an American aftermarket wheel developer. It seems that the company's specialists received the unofficial “white 997 lovers” title (997 of course refers to the current generation of the Porsche 911).
The tuner wanted to to demonstrate that it is equidistant and thus decided to release a set of stunning images showing a black 997 - a Turbo model with ultra-light mods was chosen for the job.
Here’s what the company posted on luxury4play.com, showing us the reason behind its initiative: “We were recently called out as white 997 lovers, due to all of our media images with the tt. We love Black 997's just as much as white ones... honest...”
As you can see, we are dealing with a near-stock 997.2 Porsche 911 Turbo. The vehicle is wearing a set of generously-sized D2Forged MB1 lightweight alloy rims, which use a multi-spoke design and come in a dark finish, which helps with the vehicle’s “bad boy” image. The wheels are wrapped in high-performance Continental tires.
The German supercar has also been gifted with a few carbon fiber elements, such as rear-wing add-ons and headlights ornaments.
Here’s how the tuning company describes itself: “The values by which we craft our wheels, dealer network, and support infrastructure are all simple but effective. Innovative design, world class engineering, cutting edge machinery and exhaustive R&D ensure our wheels are beyond reproach. We go to the same lengths to ensure our dealer network meets our stringent standards. Each customer will be provided the experience that befits the purchase of a custom, exclusive product, from start to finish.”
