The Porsche 911 GT3 doesn’t seem to have the best start in life, with the official (fire-caused) sales halt now followed by a violent crash in the UK.
The accident caused the engine to detach, but this is just one of the signs that point to the obvious “totaled” condition of the car. The owner, a Pistonheads forum member, had only picked up the car 24 hours before the crash.
According to the man, he was driving the GT3 at 50 mph in a 60 mph area, when the car run out of grip, spinning into a vehicle coming the other way. He explained that the vehicle was about to flip onto its roof, but ended up hitting a telephone pole.
The owner was offered a new one by Porsche (actually a production slot), but he refused, saying that he’s not interested in getting another GT3 too soon.
The... ghost of the car is offered for sale here, with the current highest bid being GBP1,000 (EUR or $).
