A Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide formerly owned by the Pope Francis was auctioned last week in Paris, France, during an event hosted by Bonhams, and was sold for $329,000 (€240,675).
The Pope received the bike from Harley-Davidson alongside a matching H-D leather jacket last year, when the MoCo celebrated its 110th anniversary in Rome.
Now, you should all know that the bike was never ridden by the Pope, but instead he autographed it, and the jacket was in the same lot under the hammer.
The proceedings of this auction will be directed to Caritas Roma, a charity run by the Catholic Church, and who operates a hostel for the homeless and a soup kitchen at Rome's Termini railway station.
Will the new owner be spared the troubles on the road? I doubt it, but one thing is certain: his ride is a true one-of-a-kind!
