What do you do when you want to have a car with strange doors, radical styling and bright paintwork, but you are on a budget? We’d suggest trying your luck with something like the Veloster, or even the quirky MINI Clubman.
What we’d definitely not suggest buying is a badly made, strange, outdated and dubious little replica of a classic supercar like say a Lamborghini Diablo. Yet, for the fun of in, we’re going to show something that’s along those lines and is currently for sale on eBay.
This “beautiful Lamborghini replica”, as the owner describes it, isn’t fooling anybody, but for the $10,000 that’s currently being bid on it you have a chance to own something that might make your toddlers happy until they find out about videogames.
This kit was put together in 96 in California and the original owner invested over 30,000 to get it going. So if it cost so much and it’s so cool, why is the current owner selling it? Is it because it’s not that reliable and could scare dogs with that face?
No, the owner says that he bought it for his company to advertise but decided to take a different route.
It’s hard not to find faults with it, as it needs a professional respray to deal with all the nastiness of the paint, the front shocks need replacing, the instrument gauges aren’t working and the air conditioning isn’t working as it should.
How about this for credibility: the owner says he wants “Serious bidders only”. We definitely don’t fit the bill, as we’d propose a trade for a collection of Pokemon cards and two packs of gum, but if you’re interested make sure to check out this eBay auction.
