No, this is no the “did you know?” moment - we found this out after looking at the adjacent photo , which, according to The Blotter, is as real as real can be. The aforementioned source states that Austin Police Department spokeswoman Veneza Aguinaga confirmed the photo was real and issued an official statement on the event.
“There was no damage to the car or the pump,” Aguinaga said. “The pump hose has a quick release in the event something like that occurs. No gas was leaked. The pump was reconnected immediately after realizing what had taken place.”
