Like any other job that involves deadlines and has huge sums of money depending on its completion, designing cars is probably a pretty stressful activity.
People who deal with spreadsheets for a living tend to believe any job that relies heavily on creativity is a breeze, and while you are indeed more likely to draw cars or come up with smart copy for an advertising campaign out of passion than to crunch numbers into tiny boxes, in essence, it couldn't be further from the truth.

If anything, it might actually be even more demanding on the nerves. People and, more importantly, budgets, depend on the product of your mind, so you're not really allowed to have the equivalent of a writer's block. It is, after all, a business.

We can only imagine what these people do to relax and unwind, but coming up with concepts has often been quoted as one of the best ways to keep the mind going without the usually associated stress. Concepts are where designers usually throw in their best, most unrealistic ideas, which is why you either like them or just ignore them completely since they have very little to do with reality.

Well, this concept coming from an independent designer currently enlisted as an intern at the Volkswagen Future Center Europe in Potsdam, Germany takes another route. It's called "Mmmh... Yes" and, for some reason, it's attributed to the Swedish company Polestar.

The author - or troll, as he so willingly characterizes himself on this occasion - goes by the name of @Alexey_Ponslav, and we predict a long future ahead in the business for him. That's because not only is he very talented, but he also knows how not to take himself or his work too seriously.

After a series of Instagram posts detailing the "Mmmh... Yes" Polestar concept - which included descriptions such as "obviously a serious project inspired by the Consumer" or "such a complex interior" - Alexey couldn't take the confusion caused by his work anymore so he added this (the original is in all caps): "A boring guy asked me to make clear that obviously, this is a troll. Ffs, people can't have fun anymore in car design."

Yes, they can, it's just that these renderings are so well-made that even the extreme minimalist design, the glass rectangle that acts as a windshield, or the square steering wheel wasn't enough to convince some people this was nothing more than somebody good at his job having a laugh. Check out the embedded post below for the best part of the series, but only after you give the concept a good look so you'll get it.
